Abstract
The article discusses Tom Waits, sound, and the theatrics of masculinity. This paper explores the inherent gender trouble captured in the songs of Waits as he inhibits clearly theatrical faces allowing the impression that masculinity is a set of performances in general. Music and gender logic is further discussed.
