Abstract
As postsecondary educators who have privileged access to restricted resources and content, we advocate for the elimination of knowledge barriers and the improvement of open-access, globally accessible resources. One way of doing this is to implement Wikipedia as a pedagogical tool in the university classroom, equipping students with the tools to engage effectively in research that will have a direct impact on global knowledge related to ancient Mediterranean topics. This chapter explores the use of guided Wiki Education projects in undergraduate courses and demonstrates how, despite unresolved ethical issues, there is still much to be gained by embracing the merits of Wikipedia and working collectively to improve the quality of its content.
