Abstract

In this work, a full-wave wideband analysis algorithm based on skeletonalized domain decomposition method (DDM) framework is developed to investigate electromagnetic interference (EMI) or electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) problems involving multiple antennas in the presence of electrically large and complex platforms. More importantly, frequency responses across a wide range of spectrum can be solved by using a single set of mesh. Specifically, in this work, the skeletonalization algorithm is adopted throughout the solution process to significantly reduce the memory and CPU consumption in the low frequency and multi-scale scenario. In the numerical example, this analysis package runs on a modest work station and simulates an EMC problem from 75MHz to 18GHz using a mesh with a resolution that is appropriate for 3GHz.
