Abstract

The article focuses on how lawyers shape mediation in their role as purchasers of mediation services. It examines the approach of the attorneys in handling conflict plays and in forming the norms of mediation practice. To know the best approach, the authors examine the role and relationship of the parties and of the lawyers in the mediation process. It also analyzes the influence of lawyers on the mediators.
