Abstract

Applies a model of the mechanics of dilute suspensions developed for turbidity currents to experiments of Coleman on open channel suspension (no bed forms, nearly smooth bed). Presents the governing equations, the three equation model, the four equation model and derives a predictor for the wake strength coefficient. (C.J.U.)
