Abstract

We present spectral line polarization observations of the 1612 MHz OH masers in the supergiant IRC+10420. Our observations indicate that the individual maser components are highly circularly polarized in contrast to the polarization observed in total power spectra. Linear polarization of some features was also detected. We estimate that, at the distance of the 1612 MHz OH masers from the star, the magnetic field has a strength of 1-2 mG.
