VARIANCE MINIMIZATION APPROACH TO THE CHOICE OF COMPONENT GRADES IN LINEAR SYSTEMS.

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

This paper discusses the development of a variance minimization approach for the choice of system component grades. Unlike several existing methods, the technique does not require continuous yield adjustment. The procedure is illustrated by examples where the cost of manufacture and quality control of components are specificed independently.
