Abstract

This chapter provides school administrators with a deeper understanding of the power of using data collectively to enhance outcomes for school-wide improvement. Readers will become familiar with techniques on leveraging the skills of special educators through the use of the Data Matrix, a tool that facilitates the use of data throughout all areas of school improvement. Administrators are encouraged to promote special education leaders to chair their instructional teams and create data-coach positions within their schools to foster collaboration and improve academic, behavior, and social-emotional outcomes for all students.
