Abstract

On occasion, pedologists, whether for pedagogic or research reasons, many need to re-examine a pedon from a backfilled pit. A simple method of lining a soil pit with a civil engineering fabric prior to backfilling solves this problem. The fabric is nonbiodegradable, permeable to water but not to soil material, and strong. -from Authors
