Abstract
A model-independent upper bound on the scale of Majorana-neutrino mass generation is presented. Two models that exemplify, and can even saturate this bound are introduced. One model has an SU(2)L X U(1)Y-singlet fermion field, while the other has an SU(2)L-triplet Higgs field.
