Undergraduate and graduate students in a research/design team: strategies for success

Abstract

This work-in-progress evaluates a team-based activity that uniquely requires undergraduate and graduate students to cooperate in order to achieve common research goals. The research team is composed of one graduate student, two undergraduate students, and a supervising faculty member. Critical practices and strategies for the team's success are discussed. Additionally, unanticipated problems and the outcomes of the research project are described.
