Abstract

This introduction situates the essays about twenty-first century Jewish writing and the world in light of the exciting line up of writers who joined us at the University of Illinois for a series bridging fiction and scholarship. Nicole Krauss, Ruby Namdar, David Bezmozgis, and Ayelet Tsabari--Jewish writers from Israel, the U.S., and Canada, span a range of modalities and thematic concerns that ultimately illuminate the complexities of Jewish writing.
