Abstract

The development of the smart grid will require enhancements in transmission system visualization. While the smart grid involves substantial automation, the human operator will still be in the loop, so they will need visualizations to help them maintain good situational awareness. This paper provides a brief overview of some techniques that can be used as future building blocks for smart grid visualizations.
