Abstract
In a study of transfer of originality training, 6th-grade boys were trained to state unusual uses for a series of familiar objects in "brain storming groups." Ss who received training gave significantly more novel responses to familiar objects not included in training than control Ss. However, the training groups failed to give more solutions to insight problems involving familiar objects than the control group. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved).
