Thermoelectric generation of flux in a bimetallic superconducting ring

Abstract

A model is described for the thermoelectric generation of magnetic flux in a bimetallic superconducting ring whose junctions are fixed at different temperatures. The magnitude of the flux is expected to be well within the resolution of modern magnetometry techniques.
