Thermoelastic martensitic transformations, shape memory effect, and superelasticity in Ni54 Fe19 Ga27 ferromagnetic single crystals

Abstract

The effect of heat treatment on the characteristics of thermoelastic martensitic transformations, the shape memory effect, and superelasticity in Ni54Fe19Ga27 (at. %) single crystals with the [001] orientation was investigated. It was established that annealing increases the mechanical hysteresis, temperatures, and temperature range of transformations; changes morphology of martensitic crystals; and reduces superelasticity.
