Abstract
The genus Anavilhanas Camisão & Dietrich, 2022 is considered a junior synonym of Kanorba Oman, 1938 (new synonymy), and the type species, Scaphytopius (Tumeus) rubidus DeLong, 1980, is transferred to the latter genus, becoming Kanorba rubida (DeLong), new combination. The type species of Kanorba, K. reflexa Oman, 1938, is redescribed and illustrated and a key to species of the genus is provided. The tribal placement of Kanorba is discussed. Kanorba elegantula Linnavuori, 1959 is transferred to Sanctanus Ball (Deltocephalini), making the new combination, Sanctanus elegantulus (Linnavuori, 1959), and the species is redescribed and illustrated. The habitus of the male holotype specimen of Sanctanus vulpinus Kramer, 1963 is illustrated for the first time.
