Abstract
The ongoing critical care of the neonate is as crucial to its survival as the initial emergency treatment and stabilization. To improve the neonate's chance of survival and reduce secondary complications, it is critical to provide continuous monitoring to detect subtle changes and trends, excellent nursing care, and ongoing therapies for specific problems.
