The locational efectiveness of nutrition centers for the elderly in Iowa.

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The 1975 Older Americans Act (As Amended) specified that federally funded nutrition centres should be located as close as possible to the residences of the majority of eligible residents. This study aimed to investigate the location of these nutrition centres in Iowa. Concludes that a grass-roots process of locational decision-making has led to a system of nutrition centres that is 31% less accessible than the theoretical optimum. -J.R.Gold
