N2 - This paper first reviewed the features of the learning sciences in the West and the issues of educational technology in China. Then, it advised things that educational technology researchers in China can learn from the learning sciences in the West, such as collaborate with other disciplines, focus on the study of learning process, use design-based research method, and ground research in learning theories, empirical data, and rigorous methods.
