Abstract

[Ir(S2O)(dppe)2]+ reacts with MeOSO 2F giving [Ir(η2-S2OMe)(dppe) 2]2+ which was characterised by X-ray crystallography and can be converted into [Ir(η1-SOMe)(MeNC)(dppe)2] 2+ [dppe = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane].
