Abstract

Raman scattering was used to study the evolution of magnetic polarons in Eu1-xGdxO. The evolution and behavior of the magnetic polarons was examined as functions of temperature, disorder and Gd-concentration. The increased spin disorder was found to play an important role in stabilizing the formation of magnetic polarons.
