Abstract
This paper estimates the effects of specific illustrations of use-value assessments and circuit-breaker schemes on the financial conditions of farm operator and non farm landlord in Wisconsin and Michigan. The illustrative programmes are contrasted with market-based assessments by simulating the financial performance of an Illinois grain farm over a 10 yr period. -R.K.Turner
