Abstract
The American Shore and Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA) has selected Chicago as the location for the 2008 ASBPA National Conference (15-17 October 2008). The conference will occur at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart-Plaza Hotel, located in downtown Chicago adjacent to historic Wolf Point. The point is formed at the three-way junction of the north and south branches and main stem of the Chicago River. The conference center is one mile inland from the scenic Chicago lakefront, which is distinguished as a world-class urban shoreline (Chrzastowski 2005).
