Abstract
The article discusses the history of pottery and pottery-making by C. & W. Kirkpatrick Pottery in the city of Anna in Union County, Illinois. The business was established by brothers Cornwall and Wallace Kirkpatrick in 1859, which eventually became one of the leading manufacturers in the state. The construction and facilities of the Anna Pottery, as well as its wares, are described.
