Abstract

Focuses on the hydrologic, meteorologic, and climatological aspects of the 1980-1981 drought. General societal and economic impacts were revealed: increased costs of water and water-related activities, decreased crop yields and land values, and increased costs to ship farm products; increased energy consumption and adverse effects on the area's natural resources. -from Selected Water Resources Abstracts
