Abstract

A more efficient method for performing template matching deformation for image segmentation in the presence of arbitrary intensity mapping is presented. The method relies on mutual information as a matching criterion for the Miller fluid model. Tests show that the use of mutual information significantly improves the usefulness of the fluid model for local template transformations.
