Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Conference contribution

Abstract

The use of telemedicine in speech and language pathology provides patients in rural and remote areas with access to quality rehabilitation services that are sufficient, accessible, and user-friendly leading to new possibilities in comprehensive and long-term, cost-effective diagnosis and therapy. Online collaboration environments which are used for online collaboration, communication and learning can be used for “telespeech therapy” delivering quality results while significantly reducing travel expenses and telecommunications costs.
