Abstract

This article traces a personal and professional journal that paralleled the growth and direction of personnel preparation in Early Childhood Special Education. Each decade since 1975 has been characterized by a particular theme, highlighted in legislation and policy. These themes are a way of understanding the activities that have been undertaken in the area of ECSE personnel preparation and as a way of setting directions for the future.
