Synthesis of dynamic Green's functions for simply-supported Timoshenko beams

Abstract

The dynamic Green's function for a uniform, simply-supported Timoshenko beam is efficiently synthesized from the known dynamic Green's function of the axially loaded Euler-Bernoulli beam. The result is compared with that for the Euler-Bernoulli beam.
