Abstract

This paper describes a modified synthesis of NaB₃H₈ by the reduction of BH₃THF with sodium dispersed on silica gel. Single crystals obtained from CH₂Cl₂ show conclusively that the space group is Pmn2₁, in contrast to the Pmmn space group previously deduced from powder diffraction data.
