Abstract
Treatment of the hydride complex (C5Me5)Os(dppm)H, [dppm = bis(diphenylphosphino)methane] with 2 equivalents of methyl trifluoromethanesulfonate (MeOTf) affords the methylidene complex [(C5Me5)Os(=CH2)(dppm)][OTf]; the molecular structure and dynamic NMR behavior of this methylidene complex are described.
