Swarm-Based Antenna Array Synthesis Through Spin-Based Bifurcation Algorithm

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

Swarm-based antenna arrays offer a promising paradigm for 6G non-terrestrial wireless networks. This paper introduces an efficient antenna synthesis methodology tailored for complex swarm antenna arrays. In our approach, the antenna excitation coefficients are represented by spin variables through binary encoding, while the desired radiated profile is transformed into the ground state of an Ising Hamiltonian function. A novel simulated bifurcation algorithm is employed to rapidly find the optimal antenna excitation coefficients. The performance of the proposed work is demonstrated across various array synthesis and optimization scenarios.
