Suppression of dispersion in NRZ communication systems using dispersion management

Abstract

The dispersion penalty can be substantially reduced by making use of dispersion-management techniques. However, very little is known analytically concerning the dynamics of propagating pulses under a dispersion-management scheme. This presentation provides an analytic description of the nonlinear pulse evolution on a NRZ communications system under a dispersion-management scheme.
