Abstract

An updated comprehensive list of the Middle East species of the subfamily Microgastrinae is provided. The list includes 292 valid species in 23 genera. The microgastrine species are reported from most of the Middle East countries, except for Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait. Iran is found to be the most species rich country, including 209 species, followed by Turkey with 173 species. Thirty-four species are recorded to be endemic to the Middle East region, and nine species are recorded here for the first time for the Iranian fauna. Distributions in the Middle East countries and extralimital, as well as host records, are provided for each species.
