Abstract
An electron diffraction determination of chiral vectors (n,m) of individual single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) was reported. The equatorial oscillation was used to determine the diameter of SWNTs. The sensitivity and accuracy were improved by electron recording with imaging plates. The validity of the technique was demonstrated by kinematic simulations.
