Abstract
A 13 cm radio continuum image of the 30 Doradus region has been made with 7.5″ resolution using the Australia Telescope. It has been compared with a calibrated optical CCD image obtained at Cerro Tololo. The two images are virtually identical, indicating little variation in extinction across the nebula. The mean value of the extinction at Hα is 1.1 mag. The detailed radio image confirms that N157B is a Crab-like (nonshell) SNR with an extent of about 90″ × 70″.
