State space and frequency domain predictive controller design with application to power plant control

Abstract

Because of the severe consequences of failure of the control systems for power plants, algorithms must pay particular attention to the preservation of stability under adverse conditions such as severe disturbances and plant variability. In this paper, three algorithms are described which take into account the unique requirements encountered in power plant control.
