Abstract

The main challenge in the synthesis of macromodel-based SPICE subcircuits resides in the accurate representation of the complex-pole residue pairs from the rational function expansion. This paper examines the different circuit topologies that can be used from the scattering parameter description. The circuit extraction algorithms are studied and tested through the use of simulation to verify the robustness and accuracy of these models.
