Spectroscopic properties of highly erbium doped fluorosilicate fiber

Abstract

A highly erbium doped (up to 5 wt% Er2O3) optical fiber was fabricated using the molten core method (MCM), with core elemental constituents that include Sr, Al, Er, Si, O and F. Its spectroscopic and lasing properties are investigated.
