Abstract
An argument for refocusing the Agricultural Colleges directly on the individual user of food and fiber is made. With this focus, choosing the research participants and selecting the appropriate organizing devices are the key ingredients in a proposed new research center. Through the interactions of the members, this center can produce an appropriate new paradigm for the Colleges.
