N2 - We propose a model-based approach for real-time cardiac imaging that does not require cardiac or respiratory gating or breathholds. The model captures the spatial and temporal-spectral characteristics of the heart and also accounts for respiratory motion during imaging. The model parameters are estimated as part of the MRI experiment and drive both data acquisition and cine reconstruction algorithm. Simulated cardiac MRI experiments show quality cine reconstructions and robustness to modeling inaccuracies.
