Sonochemical modification of the superconducting properties of MgB 2

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

A study was performed on sonochemical modification of the superconducting properties of MgB2. The materials with significant intergrain fusion were produced by ultrasonic irradiation of magnesium diboride slurries in decalin. It was found that the resulting superconductor-ferromagnet composite exhibited considerable enhancement of its magnetic hysteresis.
