Abstract
Examines differences in the level of social participation between city and suburban residents, looking particularly at apartment-dwellers. A survey was conducted with middle class women, living with their children. Contrary to what was hypothesized about apartment dwellers, the survey showed that suburban apartment residents are highly involved in local social life, with high levels of neighbouring and organizational activity. -from Author
