Single photon generation using raman transitions in sapphire

Abstract

We implement the Duan-Lukin-Cirac-Zoller protocol to produce single photons using Raman scattering in sapphire. We present data of the Stokes/anti-Stokes cross-correlation with a value of 32 ± 5.
