Abstract

We present a synopsis of a typical single dish radio astronomy data processing and analysis session in AIPS++ using data from the Green Bank Telescope (GBT). This includes examples showing the use of the msplot tool to examine and edit the data, a calibration step, an imaging step and analysis of the results using several AIPS++ tools including DISH. The calibration is done following the same calibration formalism used throughout AIPS++. Imaging is done using the same tool used for imaging synthesis radio astronomy data. AIPS++ is the primary data analysis tool for GBT data.
