Sensing via optical interference

The various developments and uses of interferometric chemical and biological sensing are discussed. The interferometric sensors can be used as universal sensors as the molecules in them contain polarizable electrons. The interferometric sensors also have the potential for resonance amplification, which leads to enhanced selectivity and sensitivity. The interferometric and biological sensing is also used in various industrial ventures.
