Abstract

A report on the experimental investigation on self-assembly of epitaxial silver (Ag) nanoclusters on H-terminated Si(111) was presented. The nanocluster rotation and epitaxy were explained using the coincident site lattice model for the interface structure and interfacial energy minimization. The temperature was calibrated with a thermocouple in a prior experiment with an accuracy of ±30°C.
