Abstract

Seborrhea is a term used in veterinary medicine to describe a variety of clinical dermatoses ranging from mild scaling to severe, greasy, crusty, alopecic lesions.1-4 Seborrhea may be a manifestation of an abnormality in keratinization or sebum production/ composition. Seborrhea is a descriptive term and not a specific diagnosis.
