Abstract

We study a robust identification scheme where the output of a plant is sent over a communication channel to a remote identifier. In particular, we are interested in using the channel efficiently in terms of bandwidth and consider the design of coarse quantizers. The problem is formulated under an H criterion in the discrete-time domain. By allowing feedback in the communication, we employ a class of quantizers called logarithmic quantizers that has been proposed in the context of stabilization with limited information.
